Is it safe to compress confidential PDFs here?
Yes. The PDF is read and compressed by your browser using JavaScript. It is never sent to QRScanKaro or any server, and nothing is stored after you close the tab.
Why can’t I select the text after compressing?
Medium, High and most target sizes turn each page into a compressed image, which is how scanned documents shrink so much. The page looks the same, but text is no longer selectable or searchable. Low compression keeps text as text.
What if my PDF can’t reach the size I chose?
The tool tells you honestly and offers the smallest version it could make. Try black & white, remove pages you don’t need with Split PDF, or check whether the portal allows a slightly larger file.
Why is the compressed file sometimes bigger?
PDFs made from text (like Word exports) are already efficient. Converting them to images can make them larger, so the tool keeps your original and tells you when that happens.
Can I compress a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Open it with the password and save or “Print to PDF” a copy without the password, then compress that copy.
