Frequently asked questions

Is this QR code generator really free?

Yes. You can create and download as many QR codes as you like without an account. The codes do not expire because the content is stored inside the QR itself.

Will my QR code stop working?

No. These are static QR codes: the link or text is encoded directly, so they keep working as long as the destination exists. There is no subscription that can switch them off.

Can I edit the link after printing?

Not with a static QR, because the link is part of the pattern. If you need to change destinations later, create a dynamic QR page on QRScanKaro: the printed code stays the same and you edit the links anytime.

Which format should I download for printing?

Use SVG or PDF for professional printing because they stay sharp at any size. For WhatsApp, websites or small prints, PNG at 1024 px is enough; choose 2048 px for posters.

Why does my coloured QR code not scan?

Scanners need strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. If the colours are too similar or the code is lighter than the background, the tool shows a warning. Test with your phone camera before printing.
