Is 100 KB counted as 100,000 or 102,400 bytes?
Portals differ, so the tool aims below 100,000 bytes. That keeps you under the limit whichever way the website counts.
Can a 10-page PDF fit in 100 KB?
Sometimes, but each page gets only about 10 KB, which makes small print blurry. Upload only the pages the form asks for, or split the file first.
Will my marksheet still be readable?
Usually yes for one or two pages. The tool picks the highest quality that fits, and black & white keeps text sharper at small sizes than colour.
The result says the target was not reached. What now?
Download the smallest version and see if it is accepted, remove extra pages, or rescan the document at a lower resolution before compressing.
