Compress PDFs for government forms
Recruitment, exam and scheme portals usually ask for documents in PDF within tight limits such as 100, 200 or 300 KB. This preset targets 300 KB in black & white, which keeps printed text sharp while cutting the size. Change the target to whatever your notification specifies.
How to use the tool

Why is grayscale switched on?
Most government portals accept black & white scans, and grayscale files are smaller at the same sharpness. Turn it off if your certificate has a coloured seal the form needs to show.
My portal says “max 300 KB” but rejects the file. Why?
Some portals also require a minimum size or a particular page count. Check the notification for both limits and make sure the file is a PDF, not a renamed image.
Can I combine several certificates into one PDF?
Yes. Merge them first with Merge PDF, then compress the combined file to the required size.
Does this work for SSC, UPSC, state PSC and bank exams?
It works for any portal that accepts PDF uploads, since the tool simply makes the file smaller. Always follow the size rules in your notification.
