How long does it take?

Is 1 MB here 1,000,000 bytes?
Yes. Aiming at the decimal megabyte keeps you under the limit even for portals that count 1 MB as 1,048,576 bytes.
Why not just email the original?
Many email services and portals reject attachments above a few MB, and smaller files open faster on phones.
Can I compress several PDFs at once?
