Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
Close, but not identical. A PDF only records where each piece of text sits, so the layout has to be rebuilt. Paragraphs, headings, lists and simple tables come through well; text boxes, two-column pages, complex tables, charts and drawn shapes are simplified or left out. Expect to tidy up spacing and fonts in Word.
Can it convert a scanned PDF?
No. A scan is a picture of the page with no text in it, and reading text from pictures needs OCR, which this tool doesn’t do. It tells you when a PDF is scanned instead of giving you an empty file. Google Docs can do OCR for free: upload the PDF to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs.
Does it keep Hindi and other Indian languages?
Usually, yes: Hindi text is copied into the Word file as real Unicode text. How complete it is depends on how the PDF stored it. Some PDFs don’t record which letter a joined character (like द्य or हुँ) is; those letters can’t be read and the tool tells you how many were missed. PDFs typed with old fonts such as Kruti Dev store Hindi as English letters and come out jumbled, which only OCR can fix.
Can I convert a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. Enter it when asked; it is used only in your browser. PDFs that only block copying or printing open without a password.
Is my PDF sent to a server?
No. The PDF is read and the Word file is built inside your browser. Nothing is sent to a server, which keeps agreements, resumes and bank letters private.
