How do I write spaces between words in Morse?
Put a space between letters and a slash (/) between words, for example .... .. / - .... . .-. . for HI THERE. Three or more spaces also work as a word break when decoding.
What does WPM mean in Morse code?
Words per minute, measured with the word PARIS. At 20 WPM one dot lasts 60 milliseconds; a dash is three dots, the gap between letters three dots and the gap between words seven.
Which punctuation marks does it support?
Full stop, comma, question mark, apostrophe, exclamation mark, slash, brackets, &, colon, semicolon, =, +, -, _, quotation mark, $ and @, as in the international Morse standard.
Is SOS three letters?
In real signalling SOS is sent as one run, ...---..., without letter gaps. Written as letters it is ... --- ..., which this tool decodes to SOS.
